Iowa Family Leadership Training Institute
Parents and primary caregivers of children ages 3 to 19 with special health care needs are invited to participate in a special leadership training. The goals of this training are to:
- Understand how to work with partners
- Become aware of one's own path to leadership
- Discover strategies for advocacy
- Prepare a Community Service Project that impacts the community or system with the support of experienced family leaders
In-person training sessions will be held in Cedar Falls/Waterloo
- March 2, 2024 - Orientation
- March 15-16, 2024 - Session 1
- April 12-13. 2024 - Session 2
- May 10-11, 2024 - Session 3
- June 1, 2024 - Final Presentations

Stipends to help defray costs are provided. Translation of materials and simultaneous interpretation available.
