Early ACCESS Service Coordination

CHSC provides service coordination for eligible children 0-3 years old with special health care needs enrolled in Early ACCESS, Iowa’s Part C of Iowa’s Individual’s with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) early intervention program. CHSC family navigators successfully complete a training program to become approved Early ACCESS service coordinators. CHSC service coordinators assure that infants and toddlers with health conditions causing or having the potential to cause a developmental delay receive support and service in their own community. The overall goal of Early ACCESS is to enhance the family’s capacity to support their child’s development.
